The standard thermal heat sink used in the electronic industry is a grey anodized aluminium, the so called ‘Philips Grey’. In order to increase the thermal emissivity for heat sink applications, IONICS offers different sol-gel dispersions which increase the thermal emissivity by nearly 10% compared to the ‘Philips Grey’, as shown on the figure hereafter.
